Sitting by the lakeside (literally—you could jump right in) eating breakfast from the huge selection on the buffet, under the glorious Lake Garda sun, has to be one of our travel experiences closest to paradise on earth. The Italian lakes are beautiful; Garda is the most beautiful. And there is nowhere better to appreciate it than from the gorgeous garden, or the balcony of one of the elegant, spacious rooms, of the Hotel Monte Baldo.
The hotel is lovely, with a relaxed, friendly style that comes from the charming family that own and run it.
And it’s not only breakfast that you can enjoy by the lakeside. The restaurant offers a small, but thoughtfully prepared menu of dishes for lunch and for dinner. Those that we tried were uniformly delicious.
This really is a jewel of a hotel that offers superb value for money. We would unhesitatingly recommend going out of your way to stay there.
