This hotel is absolutely stunning. We stayed in the Villa Acquarone 22-30 May for our honeymoon. We would definitely say we were given the best room in the whole hotel/villa, with an incredible lake view and a huge balcony that was charming and luxurious. The sun was on the balcony all day and there was no need to venture to the pool area, even though we did some of the days. But the privacy and elegance of this room and the hotel as a whole, was outstanding. Comfortable bed, plenty of storage space, including a huge walk-in wardrobe with safe and mini-bar. The bathroom was spotless with a good supply of luxury toiletries each day. The pool area and the pool itself were so beautiful, with the lake just steps away and the option to lounge on the decking positioned over the lakeshore. The staff here epitomise professionalism. They are courteous and friendly, and can't do enough for you. The owner is by far one of the nicest and accommodating hoteliers we have ever had the pleasure to meet, and was delighted that we had chosen his hotel as our honeymoon destination - including pre-honeymoon, as we got married at the town hall on 25th May. The staff even came out to wave to me as I walked to the wedding car in my wedding dress; such a wonderful touch and one I will never forget. Thank you so much for making our very special holiday even more special, and be assured we will be back, without a doubt. By far, one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.

This hotel is as near to perfect as you can get. The accommodation, facilities, parking, outdoor pool/lake area...food & staff. Everyone on the staff goes out of their way to be helpful and kind, making sure your holiday is the best. My husband speaks limited Italian and I speak limited German. All the staff that could spoke to us in English. We felt so welcome and happy. The family owners are always around checking that everything is as it should be, and will advise on anything from where the best walks are (my husband recently had a stroke so they found us lots of level walking with amazing views that we would have missed) to the best seats to have at the Verona opera ! I'm glad the hotel doesn't have 5 star rating because then we wouldn't be able to afford it. But surely if any hotel deserved it...this one does. We will be returning for our main holiday again next year....

Sitting by the lakeside (literally—you could jump right in) eating breakfast from the huge selection on the buffet, under the glorious Lake Garda sun, has to be one of our travel experiences closest to paradise on earth. The Italian lakes are beautiful; Garda is the most beautiful. And there is nowhere better to appreciate it than from the gorgeous garden, or the balcony of one of the elegant, spacious rooms, of the Hotel Monte Baldo. The hotel is lovely, with a relaxed, friendly style that comes from the charming family that own and run it. And it's not only breakfast that you can enjoy by the lakeside. The restaurant offers a small, but thoughtfully prepared menu of dishes for lunch and for dinner. Those that we tried were uniformly delicious. This really is a jewel of a hotel that offers superb value for money. We would unhesitatingly recommend going out of your way to stay there.
